I think monks are the proper guys to give punishment. They will not give a punishment that does not give true penance to the deserving boy or man. It cannot be done half way, so true pain, the kind of pain a guy will never want to suffer again, is given to him. I would like to see more boys and men suffering painful punishments given by the brothers
